Data We Collect
When you create an account or submit a manuscript, we collect: full name, email address, country, institution, phone number (optional), PayPal billing information (optional), IP address, and browser user agent. We do not collect payment card data — payments are processed directly through PayPal.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to: (1) process manuscript submissions and issue PayPal invoices; (2) deliver analysis reports; (3) manage your account and submission history; (4) respond to contact messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
Manuscript Files
Submitted manuscript PDF files are transmitted by email to the ScrivaLens editorial team. No manuscript file is stored on the ScrivaLens server. Generated analysis reports are stored indefinitely and accessible through your account.
Data Security
We implement standard security measures including HTTPS transmission, password hashing, input sanitization, and protection against common web attacks. Your password is stored as a one-way hash and cannot be retrieved in plain text.
Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. Analysis reports are stored indefinitely. Manuscript files are not retained on the server. You may request account deletion by contacting info@scrivalens.com

ScrivaLens uses only session cookies necessary for login functionality. No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies are used.
